SOOOOOOO convenient to the port - right around the corner, and the fact that a shuttle to the port is included with parking is such a PLUS! No waiting for the shuttles as they come and go back-to-back-to-back... I HIGHLY recommend Fulton!!!" Read Less

Port of New Orleans Cruise Port Information

The Port of New Orleans is a busy hub for both leisure cruises and cargo ships. You're probably excited for your trip across the seas, so you'll need the low-down on the port and get through all of the red tape and on board without any hassle.

The Julia Street terminal is where you'll go if you're heading out on a Norwegian or Royal Caribbean cruise. The passenger gangway is ADA-accessible and climate controlled to protect passengers from the elements. It has its own designated parking with luggage assistance and is only five minutes from the French Quarter.

The Erato Street terminal is considered the easiest North American terminal for embarking and disembarking and is designated for Carnival Cruise Lines. It's also just a few minutes from the French Quarter and Interstate 10. Both terminals have refreshment stands with coffee, sweets, and other snacks.

Port security adheres to increased security measures, so ensure you arrive early enough to get through security clearance. Every passenger over 18 years of age needs to have a photo ID and only ticketed passengers are allowed past security checkpoints. Every hand-carried item will be searched and checked baggage will be scanned. Children under 18 must have the proper identification to prove that the adults traveling with them are their guardians. It's also highly recommended that passengers have a valid passport.
