Port of Miami Cruise Port Information

Port Miami is your top place to head to for exciting cruise vacations. There are seven cruise terminals; complete with all the features that you want when you're going on a cruise. Getting in and out of each of the terminals is easy, regardless of whether you arrive by car, shuttle or limo.

The port is eight miles from Miami International Airport and 25 miles from Fort Lauderdale International Airport. I-395 and 95 are the most popular routes for passengers arriving by car. When you arrive by air, you'll have the best chance of getting to your location easily by taking a shuttle or some other type of airport transportation option.

If you have some time before your ship leaves, you might want to take in some of the sights that are near Miami. The Miami Design District highlights the creativity of many of the residents. Some of the museums that are convenient to the port area include the Perez Art Museum, Miami Children's Museum, and Miami Art Museum.

There are several popular Caribbean destinations that you can visit as part of a cruise departing from Miami. St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands is a popular beach destination that cruise passengers enjoy visiting. Nassau, Bahamas, also offers plenty of thrills for all ages.

You'll also enjoy access to some of the most popular Latin American destinations. Mahogany Bay, Honduras, is one of the most popular diving destinations in the region. Cozumel, Mexico, is another popular destination that also offers easy access to the region's famous Mayan sites.
