Getting to St. Louis Lambert International Airport

As the largest and busiest airport in Missouri, St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) is located 14 miles northwest of downtown St. Louis. STL connects the city to over 70 domestic and international destinations, serving approximately 15 million passengers annually.

Both Lyft and Uber serve STL, making it easy for passengers to catch a ride to the airport. Taxis also serve the airport, with a pickup fee of $4 per ride. Travelers can expect a taxi fare from the downtown area to STL to cost approximately $40.

All of the bus traffic for STL runs through the designated Bus Port. This facility is located on airport property, just south of Terminal 1 on Lambert International Boulevard. In addition to providing a complimentary inter-terminal shuttle service 24 hours per day, passengers can access the local MetroBus and Greyhound bus connections at Bus Port.

The MetroLink light rail RED line conveniently connects the airport to downtown St. Louis. MetroLink boasts 37 stations and covers 46 miles, reaching most areas of the metropolitan area.

STL is comprised of two terminals with a total of five concourses, labeled A, B, C, D, and E. Concourses A-D call Terminal 1 home with Concourse E in Terminal 2. Both terminals are connected via a continuous shuttle bus service. Southwest Airlines is the largest carrier serving STL.

While it is never fun to have to kill time at an airport, STL offers a variety of things to see and do. Beer enthusiasts will appreciate the chance to stop by local brewery Schlafly to sample their signature brews and pub food. The Three Kings Public House is also a lively way to spend the time before your flight as you enjoy a drink and dine on gourmet food offerings. Mike Shannon's Grill features steaks and sandwiches at this casual hot spot. The usual suspects of Chili's, Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, and Great American Bagel Company are also all available at STL.

Even if you are not a frequent flier, you can enjoy the convenience and premium amenities of the Wingtips Lounge, located in Terminal 2. This comfortable lounge accepts guests at the door for a fee.
