Ok, you get what you pay for I guess.
This guy at the desk was very bold and unpleasant....
I rated the parking lot attendants as poor- there were no attendants.
Our GPS didn't register the street name, so it would be helpful to have the "official" French version of the street address listed on the website and voucher. Other than that, the car was safe and didn't have any scratches or dings from the parking lot. Return trip at 2:30 am was a little slow getting the driver but he did show up.
Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that if you don't know Montreal, it was tricky to get to because I didn't know it was a divided highway with barrier and there was a construction detour to get to the other side of the road where the hotel was. Call for directions - don't rely on google!
Despite no locked gate our car was fine after two weeks in the parking lot. The Travelodge is easier to find than other nearby hotels. It's not fancy, but it's adequate and the shuttle driver is a very nice fellow.
We arrived just as the shuttle was arriving to pick up 2 other guests. We noticed though, that the shuttle already had 4 or 5 people in it from another hotel. Not only did it make the shuttle very full, but we had to climb into the back seats..... please ask small, young people to load the back first if there are other people coming. It's only common sense.
The shuttle they use is really old and not in good apparence, dirty, handle broken. The driver was nice and driving safely.
The system worked just like they advertised! That's the best recommendation anybody can have!
Wait to the airport was longer than I expected, 30 mins. but coming back the shuttle was right at door # 7 so it all came out god in the end.
Upon our return on the 16 february, the shuttle was nowhere to be found, we waited for 45 min before one finally showed up, well over 2 dozen people were waiting for it and we could not get on, the driver explained that the shuttle had broken down so he would not be back for another hour, so we decided to pay $20 for a 5 min taxi ride to the Travelodge
There is no parking lot attendant. Staff at the front desk are good. When we took the shuttle back to the hotel, the driver stayed in the car instead of helping us. That is not so bad... Worst is that he just decided to stop at Tim Hortons to get a coffee on his way back... It was late, after long hours of flight we are not in the mood to wait for you to get a coffee... Oh and he picked up his friend at the airport, stopped and dropped him at another hotel before going for his coffee...
Hotel was not 0 km from airport as listed. It was more like 4 km away. Shuttle was old but pretty quick when we called to have us picked up. Shuttle attendant was very nice. Parking lot doesn't have much security and the lot was a skating rink. Would I park here again? Maybe. Price was good and my car is older so I didn't worry to much about someone stealing it.
Everything fine except that when I arrived in Montreal I called the hotel and said I'd be at the pickup spot within 5 minutes. They told me the shuttle would be 15-20 minutes. It showed up after 27 minutes and the driver was surprised to see people waiting for him. Turns out the hotel staff never bothered calling him to inform him that people were waiting, and he was just swinging by to check just in case. Shuttle drivers to and from the airport were both great. Just disappointed that the hotel didn't do their part.
No complaints. Service was easy to use. The staff was friendly. Didn't have to wait long. I'd use the Travelodge again.
