Avistar operated reasaonably well given the overwhelming demand for parking on the day before Thanksgiving. While it took between 30-45 min. of waiting in line just to enter the parking lot and there was some confusion on how to park (parking management decided valet parking was the only viable means of accomodating all cars with reservations), I was able to park and be shuttled to the airport terminal in time to make my flight. Though I was a little uncertain as to where I'd find my car upon my return, the shuttle driver easily found where they had parked my car and had my keys on hand.

I ran into the Pre Thanksgiving Mania. Avistar clearly overbooked their parking lot and had to wait for 30-45 mins to get into the parking lot. Luckily I had given myself enough time and made my flight. I can only wonder about the other 30 cars that were waiting in line.

Service was excellent when we dropped off the car in Houston. When we went to pick up the car, we had to call for a bus. The bus would not hold all of us, so we had to wait in cold wind for second bus, which was overcrowded. We probably waited in the cold for 20 - 25 minutes. Had we not called, we might still be there!

Upon leaving the lot, I requested a receipt after I paid. The attendant said she wasn't supposed to give me one, but would anyway. Why would there be a policy to NOT give a receipt? If I had been traveling for business, I would have needed it for my expense report, and the possibility that I may not get one could influence my decision on where I park in the future.

The shuttle was timely on 1/29/11. On our return on 2/5/11, we saw shuttles for other companies (Avis, National,etc) several times before the Avistar shuttle showed up even once to get us back to our parked car. Other than that, things were fine and the price was still worth it.

The parking lot was partially paved and I didn't expect that. Everyone was very nice and courteous. The buses arrived in a fair amount of time. I would actually choose them again, but didn't care too much for the parking lot.
