    The service is really good, and my car has been maintained well. However, the location is really hard to find, especially for the first-time user. I wasted 30 minutes looking for the parking lot. Some GPS like mine does not show the location, this is why I am unsatisfied about. Beside the location, the service is good and the price is really reasonable.

    Everything was perfect except for the 20 minute wait for the shuttle on our return. The van had been dispatched to the wrong terminal. Because the where-to-wait directions were unclear, we didn't know if the shuttle was taking a long time or if we were in the wrong place. As it turned out it was the misdirected shuttle that caused the wait. I would use Smart Park again.

    It took over 10min for the shuttle to arrive at the airport. The car was not ready when arriving at the parking lot. After about 15min they brought a different car. I had to look myself for my keys on the pannel. After another 5min they returnned with the keys in hand but no car yet; still not knowing where my car was. I think they've mixed car IDs. In the meantime they had other custommers like me, no car after all that time. I use this service very often. It never hapened before, btw.

    I had made a reservation for SmartPark JFK about a month and a half in advance. Upon reaching the lot around 3.5 hours before my flight, I was turned away as "the lot was full and they were not honoring reservations". They had my reservation on file, as well as my phone number and email, but neglected to call me to tell me beforehand that I would need to rush around trying to find a new lot to park in. I tried three other private lots in the area before finally having to go to JFK Long Term Parking and try to find a spot there (which took about 30 minutes). It was a very unprofessional way for them to handle it, and I do not plan on parking there ever. None of this was AirportParkingReservations.com's fault, it rests squarely on SmartPark JFK.

    When I got there, the shuttle took me to the airport right a way. When I called for pick up, the shuttle showed up less than 10 minutes. When I got back to Smart Parking, My car was ready in front of the main office. The charge was almost same as the original quote (a couple of cents different - no big deal). After I paid it at the counter, I got free coffee and water (available in the office). It was great experience!!

    overall it was a very positive experience with 1 exception. when we pulled in to park we were not prepared for the swiftness in which we were put into the shuttle. as a result I left my glasses behind in my car which had a really bad impact on my trip

    Staff was friendly, cooperative and very communicative on the phone. After reading other reviews I had expected there might be some communication issues. To avoid that I asked the shuttle driver to provide the pick up information for our return. I did call as directed and the same information was provided clearly. Return shuttle wait time was 9 minutes. Car was ready at lot. Check out took 2 minutes tops.

    I waited at the terminal for the shuttle for over 30 minutes and the staff was least courteous. Though I liked the pricing and the lot as such but I am very unlikely to use the service again.

    The ONLY problem we had with Smart Park was that our car was not waiting for us when we arrived (the cars for the other two people on the shuttle WERE waiting for them), and we had two children (5 & 2) who were tired while the others were a solo and a couple. Otherwise it was just what I would expect.

    I want to be fair with this review. We've used SmartPark twice at JFK in the last two months. The first time was fairly smooth. The bus took us promptly to our terminal and pickup from the terminal on our return was uneventful. The car was parked close to the office following payment - and although I have been spoiled by the exceptional service I had received in years past from Avistar - I wasn't too bothered that the car wasn't started and warmed up. The reason for this low rating review has to do with the return on our second trip. On arrival at JFK, I called the toll free number on my claim ticket after having collected our luggage. I received instructions from a spanish speaking woman who spoke very poor english and had a very thick accent. Her instructions were difficult to understand and I had to have her repeat them three times in order to determine where we were to meet the shuttle van. After waiting 25 minutes outside, we called again and were told that the van was 3 minutes away. We then received a call back 5 minutes later asking us to confirm the claim check number and were told the van would be there shortly. After a total of 45 minutes standing at the pick up area, a van full of passengers stopped to pick us up. We had to climb over luggage on the floor. Our children needed to sit on each other's laps due to the lack of seating. I stood amongst the luggage balancing myself and the suitcases around me so that they wouldn't fall into the other passengers. When I arrived at the office for payment, I explained the poor experience we had just had to a desk agent who couldn't have cared less about it. She explained to me that they only had two shuttle vans and one of their drivers went home ill. When I asked her how they expected to service a large international airport such as JFK with two shuttle vans, she ignored my question and proceeded to take my money. I then calmly explained to her that I watched seven (7) "The Parking Spot" shuttle vans go by us at the terminal in the time it took for one Smart Park shuttle to arrive, and that I would no longer be parking at Smart Park. Her response was to call on the next customer for payment. Think about this when you choose parking at JFK: 1. the least expensive option is not always the best option. Pay a few dollars more so that your re-entry from vacation is not ruined by the company you park your car with. 2. park with the company that uses the extra dollar or two you pay to invest in vans so that your wait at the terminal is kept to a minimum 3. park with a company that understands what customer service is - or better yet, what good customer service is. We all understand that sometimes things don't go smoothly and customers can be inconvenienced. When that does happen, employees should be trained to deal with the situation and make it right. Use of low cost, inexperienced and careless labor doesn't cut it. 4. Don't consider parking at Smart Park until there are some reviews that follow this one that demonstrate they've got their act together.

    The lady kept talkin on the phone instead of helping me. Tried to charge me twice since she was not paying attentions. very unprofessional since most of the talk appearted to be of personal nature. Car also got very dirty with in two days of parking. Not sure why.

    All is wonderful with this service, but it may help to better designate pick up areas at the airport. Its a big airport and being told to go to outside "Terminal 4" just doesnt work so well! Otherwise, great and convenient service

    This is the first time that i used smartpark and the last. when i arrived at the airport and called them to pick me up the line was busy for 5 minutes. i have used many offsite parking facilities and never once received a busy signal. Also, my wait for hte shuttle was about 30 minites which is unaccepatble.

    SmartPark JFK is excellent. This is based on our experience previously with them during the big snow storm last Dec 2010 when JFK was shut down. We were trying to catch a flight out to SFO. We were able to make it back to our vehicle thanks to the SmartPark shuttle (only ones that were running despite the weather) (not even the airport's own transport services were running).

    Directions to SmartPark were incorrect. We never could find the place, even with GPS. Called them, but they couldn't provide local directions either. We ended up parking at Avistar.

    It would be best if the GPS coordinate locations for each lot be published on the web. My GPS couldn't find the one for JFK and I could only approximate the location. Otherwise excellent service. Used it before and will again.

    When we were leaving the attendant was very helpful and friendly. However, when we returned the attendant that picked us up at the terminal did not get out of the shuttle to help with our luggage and was not cordial at all. Another family was struggling to load their luggage while holding to two small kids and he sat there for a few minutes and then finally got up and helped lift the bags onton the shuttle. If I had not had such a positive experience when we first arrived at the lot I would have been inclined not to use your services again. But since it appeared to be the one guy I just did not tip him and was going to call to report if I didn't get this survey. Thanks for asking for my input.

    Service was great! Finding this place was a bit hard because GPS tells you the address is something it's not, so verbal directions emailed upon reservation might help? But I found it in the end :)

    Outbound was fine. The return was a disaster - I will NEVER use SMARTPARK again!! It took 30 minutes before they answered my telephone call that I had arrived and required a pick-up; another 20 minutes for them to pick up my familly and me; then 40 minutes MORE for them to find my car in the lot. A TOTAL DISASTER - HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I have already started telling freinds and familly to never use this SmartPark at JFK.

    Excellent service. The shuttle bus to take me back to my car arrived within five minutes of my calling. My car was ready to go upon my arrival at the parking lot. I would have been in and out in less then 3 minutes if I didn't stop for a cup of FREE fresh brewed coffee. Excellent service. Thank you.

    We returned the next morning after a MAJOR (20") snowstorm, so our car was buried under snow and it took 55 minutes for them to get it to us. They worked hard to take care of arrivals and departures but perhaps they should have had the car clear as they had the time of our return and it was marked on the parking tag.

    Had to wait at the terminal for 30 minutes. It took three phone calls with responses like "you just missed one", "it is our change of shift" that I don't care about. And after the wait it was a roundabout every terminal at JFK until the radio dispatcher said another pick up at terminal 8.

    The shuttle was very cold, broke down on the way to the airport, the driver was on the phone trying to call for help and we almost got into an accident and it took 45 min to get to the airport and he did not even dropped us off at the departures.

    DIRECTIONS: Alll 3 sets of directions (from NY, from CT,...) are merged into one VERY long paragraph - this is virtually impossible to read. Also there are NO printed directions FROM your location back to thehighway. This made it tough to get home.

Effective 4/1/13 the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey has required All off site Airport parking operators to pay a privilege fee.
