Nice that the shuttle is for this hotel only, and not for a block of multiple hotels. Due to recent construction, driving from 395 north to the hotel is a little more challenging: you either have to take Washington Blvd. north to the Pentagon, and go west on Columbia Pike, or make a immediate (and illegal) merge across Washington Blvd. west to exit directly on to the street where the Sheraton is located. Shuttle runs every 30 minutes.
because I knew I had to take a shuttle from the economy parking to the airport, I figured why not save some money, park off airport, and just take a little longer of a shuttle ride? This was possibly the worst experience I've ever had at the airport. There was NO parking on the level I was supposed to be on (G2), so I had to go deeper into the garage. My van was too tall, so I scraped the top of it, and while trying to get out I hit my front bumper against the wall. I was then informed (a little too late) that oversize vehicles park in the open lot. Running late now for my flight, I need to take a cab to the airport. Uon our return, I had to walk from terminal C to terminal A to catch the shuttle as directed by the rint out. After waiting about 1/2 hour, the shuttle finally showed up. Then, of course, it stopped at the exact gate where my baggage was and I was originally. Like I said, the directions told me to catch the shuttle at terminal A. Try waking that far with luggage and recovering from back surgery where I have 5 fused vertebrae. I will never do that again and I will spend the extra money for the convenience of the economy parking.
Shuttle comes every 30 minutes. Leaves on th e1/2 hour from the hotel.
The parking lot was perfectly serviceable. I never had a wait for a shuttle. But you need to print your receipt!! This website never mentioned that until after I had hit the submit button and I don't own a printer. There was no time to go to Kinkos before my flight but luckily they let me pay once I came back. But be aware!
Late arrival of shuttle at airport to listed schedule for pick-up caused a concern, but overall a good experience.
Took longer than I expected to get through the line at the hotel to check in and took close to 30 minutes for the shuttle to show up.
Great value in DC
Finding the Sheraton is a little tricky if you are not used to the DC area, but upon arrival everything went very smoothly. We were parked in the parking garage, and out of the weather. Everything was clean and well maintained. The staff was excellent, and the price very fair for the DC area.
Hard to find from highway; hard to get back home
needed to wait nearly an hour to be picked up at the airport. driver blamed the traffic. he was pleasant, but just sat there while my wife was struggling to get her heavy suitcase into the van until i offered to help her. then he finally helped. we always tip the drivers, and we did anyway, because we know that they depend on it.
The wait for the shuttle was long going to the airport and coming back (Around 30 minutes) but the overall experience was worth the usage of the Sheraton.
There was no parking lot attendants. I obtained a ticket from the gate machine, then I went in to the parking garage. And then I proceeded to go to the front desk of the hotel and give them that and to check in and then they gave me a Parking Permit to place on my dash of my car. it's pretty simple though. The negative thing is when I returned from my trip. I had to wait at the airport for another van because I missed one by a few minutes then so the wait was about 30 minutes for the next shuttle.
The people at the desk at the Sheraton Pentagon City were not friendly. Like they were doing me a favor. Missed the shuttle because he was taking his time. Things worked out better on the way back although the driver didn't even bother to get out of the van to open the cargo area in the back. In fact he didn't even get out to help close it just expected me to deal with the broken latch.
I think they need to update the directions to and leaving the Hotel. Thank goodness for Google Maps.
The parking lot was easy to find. Going to the airport, our wait was around 15 minutes. Coming home from the airport, we waited for 30 minutes. The driver was very courteous and helped us with our luggage. We will definitely use this parking lot again when traveling by way of Reagan Airport
We were confused once there about where we were to park to come in to check in - clearer instructions would be helpful for this but the service was a great value other than that.
The only issue relates to the pick-up at the airport to return to the hotel parking area. As instructed, we called when we landed. We were told to wait at a specific location at the airport. We called a second time to verify whether we should be at the inner circle or the middle. We were definitively told to wait closest to the building (the inner circle). We saw "our" shuttle in the middle and he only stopped because we frantically waived him down. He said we were in the wrong area. We told him we were told to wait where we were. He again told us we were in the wrong area. NOT VERY FRIENDLY!!! The hotel should know where the shuttle should pick up the passengers.
Everyone was polite and ready to assist from start to finish. Would use them again
The front desk at the hotel was very courteous. Parking was covered and safe. At the airport, we were left at the arrival area of the airport not departure. When we returned we knew where to pick up the shuttle. It would have been appreciated if like the other Sheraton shuttle the driver from Alexandria our driver had stopped close to the sidewalk. Encouraging passengers to place in the back large luggage pieces instead of taking seats might be helpful so some people at the last stop were not passed by. Due to the number of guests, I sat in the back and became quite wet by an air conditioning hose that was dripping down. The pilot beside me was also less than impressed and as wet.
Parking right behind and. under hotel with easy access to lobby to wait for shuttle to airport. Wait at airport to return was longer than expected but it was Friday night.
