    Luckily for us our flight was delayed 1 hour at which time there were no spaces for us to park. since we arrived at the lot i hour later there was 1 space open but others who had arrived shortly after us were told that no spaces were available. Way overbooked. Many cars were parked in the fire lane, not a good way to start your travel!

    Mass confusion and poor training on Howard Johnson's part. Plane arrived at 10:00, bags picked up by10:15 PM. I called at 10:20 PM. We were not picked up till 11:40 PM. Mary initially drop us off 2 weeks prior. And she wound up picking us up. She was great. The problem was mass confusion on management's part. There was a problem with an untrained driver. That is Howard Johnson's fault. What happened to us was inexcusable, especially that late at night with two small children. I don't ever want that to happen to anybody else. We we really should be compensated with some type of partial refund.

    It would be helpful if someone would have answerd the phone when I was calling for a pick up at the airport. This happend Saturday, July 30th. It took me 30 minutes to reach someone at the hotel to send a shuttle. Very frustrating. Service from the hotel to the airport was fine.

    when we arrived nobody would answer the phone. we tried calling multiple times. Finally called corporate and they couldn't reach anyone either. Luckily we were able to flag her down when she was dropping off another family. Had to sit and wait with for kids outside with all our luggage for an hour. Hotel Is in terrible condition. Looks like it is falling down and is torn up at the moment. Terrible service!

    When we arrived to drop off our car the attendant was courteous and friendly. However there was only one space available and it was adjacent to a section of the hotel being renovated. The parking lot was full of potholes and debris. Upon out return I called for the shuttle as our plane landed and was told the shuttle would be 15 minutes. When we arrived at the shuttle stop it had been more than 20 and no shuttle. I called again and was told the driver was on his way. Another 20 minutes passed and still no vehicle. It was more than an hour before the vehicle arrived. The driver spoke little English and was not friendly at all. I do not recommend using Howard Johnson for parking when flying from CLE despite the low rate. It's worth the extra money for better service.

    To summarize, the experience arriving at Hopkins Airport was terrific. Friendly driver, clearly marked Howard Johnson mini-van and quick service. HOWEVER, our return flight circumstantially was delayed 4 hours due to weather conditions. All three of us were exhausted and frustrated. As instructed, I called the number to schedule a pick up once at 9:12pm and again at 9:34pm, then boarded the wrong returning shuttle. After a long drive to Bagley Road, the confusion was cleared up. Then the Comfort Inn driver kindly returned us back to my car at the Howard Johnson’s on Snow Road. Strong Recommendations: 1. It’s unclear. The auto attendant answering the Hotel 216-676-5200 phone number on the reservation receipt doesn’t mention a selection for shuttle pick-up. a. Instead, pressing ZERO connects generally to a reservationist at the hotel. This person sounded distracted by my request. 2. Also, it’s not clear on the actual location of the airport shuttle pickup. a. Nowhere found on the reservations receipt, on any of the signs at the airport and it’s easily confused with where the Rental Car Shuttles are waiting outside baggage claim. 3. Similar to the appearance of that Howard Johnson Shuttle that dropped us off, the Return Shuttle had no clear display of Howard Johnson Hotel signage. a. A late night, exhausted and tired from delayed flight changes, we jumped in the first similarly marked mini-van with a hotel car door logo and it was the wrong shuttle. When finding the actual pick-up location, I noticed a huge shuttle marked “Airport Parking”. Nowhere on the reservation receipt, in the parking space or anywhere on the shuttle does it indicate that this is also the shuttle for Howard Johnson’s parking return. Thank goodness we also weren’t traveling with young family members. Hope this helps.

    Called hotel that I needed to be picked up at airport. Desk girl said shuttle on its way. Shuttle arrived, dropped off people and kept going. Had to call again. Waited over half an hour before shuttle showed up again. Desk person never told driver someone was waiting to be picked up Need better communication

    After parking my car for a week at the hotel, I came back to pick up the car and discovered a small dent in my driver's side door! Now I have to get this fixed at an additional cost! Getting "cheaper" parking around the airport is not always a smart thing to do!

    After my flight landed at the Cleveland Airport and went straight to the Baggage claim before calling. I called the number on the Hotel business card that the shuttle driver gave me for the first time at 5:37 pm, the audio recording said to press 0 and that there may be a "brief" silence while it tried to connect me. I waited for 5 min before hanging up because there was no answer. I called 14 more times for the next 2 hours and NEVER got an answer. I tried calling the Howard Johnson corporate line and the lady there said she could not help me. I called a different number that was listed on the website and got no answer there either. I finally ended up spending 15 dollars on a 2 min cab ride back to the hotel. I went in to tell the clerk and to see if their phones were working and the gentlemen behind the desk just said he had no idea what happened and that he could not issue a refund. I didn't ask for a refund but an apology at the very least would have been nice. The place is a dump, there is no fencing or lighting and it is in a very deserted part of town. If you have a nicer car I would definitely not recommend leaving your car there. And if you do, make sure you have some money coming back home because you'll probably end up needing to get a cab. I talked to a lady at the airport as well, and she said that this has happened with this particular hotel many times before.
