I have been looking for an alternative to Anza parking and tried the Hilton Garden South San Francisco North they were about $5 a day less. Coming from the South it was a little farther. The directions were fine and it was easy to find. Once I was parked the staff were helpful and got us on our way quickly, however we waited about 15 - 20 minutes for the the shuttle. Once on board they got us there fairly quickly. When we returned I called and was told the shuttle was 15 - 20 minutes away. We went to the pickup location and nothing. The key to understand in this is Hilton Garden North in South San Francisco. The shuttle title is literally Hilton Garden South San Francisco North. After having to wait 45 minutes for the shuttle to route again it dawned on me we had probably missed it before by not reading the sign on the bus correctly. We finally got back to the car, but because we were so close to the bay the car was covered in bird crap. I spent any savings on having the car washed. Overall there is one shuttle so if your miss you are SOL and need to wait at least 30 minutes. If you are coming from SF then the location is good, but from the South it is out of the way. I am not sure what to do about the birds. We will not be using the lot again and I will look for another lot to the South. There was nothing specifically wrong with the parking but it lacked anything that would make me want to go back.
Need to wait by Hotel Pick Up, Not Parking Pick Up. There's a free phone at the stall to call hotel and this will shorten the pick up wait time. The staff and hotel/ parking lot condition made up for our long pick up wait.
No problem with the parking lot. Adequate spaces & easy check in. Waited about 15 mins. to go to airport. However, upon our return, the wait for a shuttle at the airport was at least 45 mins. When calling for the shuttle, the response was "I'll tell him". No expectation was given as far as how long of a wait. We called a second time with the same reply. This seems like poor customer service.
Staff at HGI was very friendly. Parking lot was well maintain and well lit. Shuttle was a bit slower than others. The location was a bit off (even with GPS it was a bit confusing).
We opted to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn and get a good nights rest before our trip. Left our car there and returned to it in the same condition we left it. Couldn't have asked for more.
This was a really easy option for our family. We felt safe leaving our car for three weeks and would use this service again- the price can't be beat!
There was no attendant at the lot. Had to walk inside hotel at the reception and they just made a note of the reservation number and the vehicle number. I left with a feeling that no one really cares about what cars are park in their lots and for how many days. The price was a bit on higher side considering the aloft much closer to the airport offers it for 7.99 per day (through third parties). Over all mixed feelings. Better than paying 14$ at nearby parking lots though.
We did have an issue and I'm sure I'm not the first. Our battery was dead and we could have used s portable battery jumper. If there was on hand to use that would have been great. I do under stand it could be a liability issue if some one hurt them self. They gave to sign a weaver. Just a suggestion. Every thing was great.
Your shuttle does NOT bother to pick up people at the arrivals section of the SF International Airport. We waited for over an hour last night, and, after four telephone calls to get service, we gave up and took a $20 taxi. Needless to say we will NOT be using your service again!
We use this lot each trip. It works great for us.
We parked our cart at the Hilton Garden Inn and the stuff was so nice. Also, the shuttle driver was nice.
I was going down to L.A for 5 nights from SF and never have parked in a hotel to head to the airport. The whole process is very easy, the shuttle drivers were friendly and when I got back to SF 5 days later my car was safe and sound in the parking lot of the hotel. I was very impressed and would use this service again!!
We arrived just as the shuttle was preparing to leave and he waited the few moments for us to unload from our car. The parking area was well lighted. We felt it was a very secure place to park our car. The entire lot area was well lighted and visible to hotel staff and guests. The front desk staff does require your license plate number when you leave your car as this lot did not have an attendant to exit.
Good choice close to the airport!
The parking lot was easy to find, felt as my car was in a safe area. Staff was efficient and friendly. The issue was our return shuttle..all the other (numerous) airport shuttle companies had several shuttles coming and going delivering and picking up travelers. I had to call the Hilton Garden Inn (South SF) twice and it still took 45 minutes for the shuttle to arrive! That's unacceptable ~ I would not recommend this parking lot option..
Great $ if you have the extra time. I would park there again!!
After we parked on 5/13 at around 10:30 pm we were told the shuttle would be to the front of the Hilton shortly. The driver pulled up momentarily, and then pulled away as we were coming outside from the lobby. We went to the front desk to ask them to call the driver and he was unresponsive. They told us we would have to take a cab because they couldn't reach him. I refused since I had paid and we had two small kids, 3 adults and lots of bags. They radioed the driver again and he eventually came back. It's a good thing we allowed plenty of time. He didn't even get up to offer help with bags after that and it was obvious we had our hands full with multiple bags and two tiny kids. Email instructions should specify that shuttle pickup is upstairs at SFO at departures. We waited and waited as other hotel shuttles came and went twice before ours got there. This driver was at least much nicer and offered to help us out while we managed suitcases and jet lagged kids. But I won't be parking at this Hilton again.
The shuttle driver dint bother to offer even a word of explanation or apology, neither did the person manning the hotel reservation offer any explanation for why it was so late. I had a similar bad experience with Hilton garden Inn previous time also, this is the second bad experience, I will NEVER park here again
I approached the driver of the Hilton van. I asked him this this transport was going to Hilton on 670 Gateway. He said it was, to get on and he had to get gas. I was bit nervous that he did not understand what I was asking. He drove around, finally getting gas. I kept telling him that I didn't think this location was correct. He just said "yes, yes" and dropped me off at the entirely wrong location. When I went in to the Hilton, they were dismissive. Finally a concierge got me a taxi. I paid $30 to get to the proper location. By that time, all good effect of my holiday was a dim memory. I was so unhappy.
Hotel parking lot is open but safe. Left for over 3 days/nights and got back to find our car is still there lol. Very happy as we were skeptical about this whole concept of parking our car at a place we are not familiar with but it turned out to be alright after all 😀
