    The shuttle service needs immediate attention. We had to wait more than 35mins to get our shuttle and then took us more than 15mins to get to the parking lot.

    Open parking lot with no barrier gates to check in or out. Wonder how the parking is controlled - just to be safe, we left our details with the front desk, who seemed not fully up to speed on the arrangements. It worked out since our car was not clamped or towed after a week! The bus to the airport is apparently every 30 mins, but we lucked out both times as we had to wait like 10 mins on the way there and it was waiting for us when we got out of the airport. So theoretically 30 mins, ... but actual experience less than 10mins. Drivers were helpful and courteous.

    Hotel employees are always courteous, professional and very helpful. It's a little difficult to find but we would now park nowhere else!

    The hotel parking lot had one space left that was more than a quarter taken up by a large passenger truck. Being it was really late and we had to get to the airport, I had to pull my car in over the plants just to get parked. There was not sufficient space for parking. There was no parking enforcement, attendants, etc. The return shuttle was to run every half hour but I had to call the hotel twice since I waited almost an hour for a shuttle and it was late, very late, but within their last two shuttle runs.

    I waited for almost one hour (55 minutes) for the shuttle at SFO. I called at 30 minutes and they said the guy was "almost there." Then at 50 minutes I called again and said that I needed to take a cab and they should pay for it. They said "that's what we normally do," indicating that this happens a lot and they're doing nothing to solve the issue. I was pretty disappointed. They did reimburse me for the cab, but I had to pay extra for child care and was late to my next engagement.

    The first shuttle driver was so rude. He didn't help me with my bags and in fact he had me keep them in the main part of the shuttle and not in the back where bags should go. He made me wait in the shuttle for 8 minutes before leaving while he walked around and ate a banana. I asked him if I had to call when I needed to be picked up or if the shuttle ran automatically and he said either way but that I should call because they don't always run at night. If they don't have anyone to take they just sit in the lot and don't do their runs. While we were on our way, a dispatcher tried calling him 5 times and the driver kept ignoring him. He finally picked up after the dispatcher sounded nervous and he was incredibly rude to the dispatcher telling him they never guarantee on time pick ups and drop offs. While I understand they can't guarantee but he obviously just didn't care about the customers. I sure hope he realized why I did not tip him.

    The only drawback is the unpredictable wait time; outbound it was 35 minutes, and therefore anxiety-producing. Return: I was lucky - van happened to come along right away. There's no solution due to low volume of riders.

    Costs less because it's not covered, but for a 2 week parking period it's not a big deal. Great way to save a buck!

    The parking lot was easy to check in and out of. The hotel staff were all courteous, but the shuttle driver attentiveness was hit or miss. To the airport, I had a wonderful driver who was very friendly and assisted willingly with my bags. From the airport, the driver seemed confused as to where he was driving to and did not communicate well. For example, the side of the shuttle indicated the Hampton Inn was one of the destinations, but since most passengers were destined for the Hilton Garden Inn, he kicked out the passengers for the Hampton and told them to wait. The Hilton and Hampton are less than 1/2 mile apart. So other guests' experiences may not be as good as mine was.

    After a long trip, the last thing you want is to wait 30-40 minutes for the shuttle. This is my first, and last time parking at the Hilton Garden. Too bad, on the plus side, the people were very helpful, and friendly !

    This has proven to be an excellent choice for us to use when flying out of SFO. Since we live in Redding, we are usually driving down and staying the night and may also stay the night on the return. We just returned from 32 days away and it was nice to see everything in order when we returned.
