In order to ride the airport shuttle, you must show your valid parking voucher to the shuttle driver. Off-Airport Parkers may park in any unreserved parking space.

Airport Transportation

The airport shuttle runs from 5:30 AM to Midnight and runs on demand. The shuttle typically takes about 15 minutes between airport runs to return to the hotel, but in peak traffic may take up to 25 minutes. Between the hours of Midnight and 5:30 AM, the front desk will gladly assist by arranging a taxi to transport you to the airport (additional fee paid to cab driver); please allow ample time for the hotel to contact the cab company as these are off peak hours. Please see the desk for further assistance.

    I would have rated my experience outstanding if it were not for the time it took for the pickup. I called the hotel at 3:30 pm and they said the van would be there in 10 to 15 minutes. I then called again at 3:45 and they said it was 2 minutes away. The van arrived at 3:52 pm. What bothered me most was the number of times I saw a Marriott (3 times),Sheraton (2 times), Holiday Inn (2 times) shuttle before the one Hilton shuttle showed up.

    I would definitely use this service again. We arrived at the hotel around 5:20am and the shuttle was just arriving. Got over to the airport in less than 10 minutes. When we returned, we called the hotel to inform them we landed, and once we got our luggage, the shuttle was pulling up out front of the airport. My car was safe and sound in the garage when I returned.

    It was easy to park at this location and the staff was very pleasant. The only slight difficulty was that there was no courtesy phone upon return so another Hilton driver actually gave us the phone number to call for the shuttle. Need to provide the phone number for pickup as it is not automatic.

    The outgoing service on Friday morning was slow and an van was used to cart everyone; whereas their mini-bus was used to transport ONE individual separately. The return service Monday evening was prompt and very good - using the mini-bus. You might want to specify in the directions for use at this site that you need to check-out with the front desk since there isn't a parking attendant.

    Experience: difficult to locate the parking lot when trying to drop of my car. Had to call for directions. When i arrived i waited over 30 minutes for the shuttle and i had called for a shuttle right after i picked up my bags from baggage claim

    The price and service was great! Parking lot entrance was a bit hard to find but the hotel staff were amazing in helping us get in. Spaces were tight and not abundant, but we found a spot so it worked ;-)

    So easy! Once I arrived to the hotel, I went to the front desk with my reservation. The attendend gave me an exit keycard to swipe at departure, I waited 5-10 minutes for a shuttle, and I was at the airport in another 5 minutes. I will certainly use this again, as there is no reason to pay almost double the amount at airport economy parking.

    Waited for over 40 mins at the airport while all the other hotel shuttles came and went multiple times. Finally called the Hilton and discovered that the shuttle was sent to the airport by request only. Hilton shuttle arrived, I got on and discovered that this shuttle wen to the Hilton in Alexandria, not Crystal City. Shuttle experience was awful.

    Fairly Easy and painless experience. It's hard to remember what floor you were on when you get back and oddly enough, the elevator lobbies look EXACTLY the same (down to the framed pictures on the wall) on every floor. So, other than trying to find our car, we'd definitely recommend parking here.

    I compare this experience overall to the experience of having to park in airport parking. Overall, this location was easy, convenient, and cheap. If you check-in with the front desk when you arrive, you can save yourself some hassle on the back end because they will give you a pass to get out of the parking garage upon your return. Also, keep in mind that you have to call for a shuttle upon your return if you are outside their morning peak hours. This is CLEARLY stated in the instructions provided along with your reservation confirmation. For those complaining about not knowing that, it's as simple as reading. I even confirmed it with the front desk when I arrived BECAUSE I read it previously. They gave me a business card with a phone number to call in the event I couldn't find the courtesy phone in the airport. The shuttle did seem to take a bit longer to arrive than I expected upon my return, but I'd say my total wait time was no longer than 15-20 minutes. In a pinch, you might even be able to walk to the hotel if you have minimal luggage. Adding a $10 cab ride is still cheaper than using the airport's long term (and uncovered parking) I had a bit of trouble finding the parking garage because you have to pull into the hotel check-in area to see the entrance. I could have easily stopped and asked instead of circling the block a mere one time before I found it. No biggie, that's on me. Maybe my first stay was a fluke, but reflecting on using this facility, I am still amazed at how easy it was. I have already placed a reservation for my next flight out of DCA. Fortunately, my review is not irrationally influenced by a dead battery.

    DO NOT PARK HERE. Details: On the reservation, it says "Shuttle available on demand outside of these hours." (Usually runs between 5:00 am and 1 pm, I believe). Just to confirm, I called the hotel the evening before to make sure that a shuttle would be provided for my 4:30 am trip to the airport and midnight return. When I arrived at the hotel, I let the employee on duty know that I would need a shuttle. He rudely replied "The shuttle starts running at 5:00." I showed him the reservation where it clearly refuted what he had just told me, and explained to him that I had called the day before. He continued to ignore me and repeat himself, raising his voice. Sorry excuse for customer service--I have never been treated so poorly by someone in a position to provide service. We called the manager later in the day to let her know what had happened, and she was apologetic, explaining all that I needed to do upon my return is call and have them send a cab or call a cab and have them pay for it. When I called, the woman said a shuttle was on the way. Never came. Called again, explaining I had been waiting there for 15 minutes and I had not seen a single Hilton shuttle. She said I would just have to call a cab. I did just that, and upon returning at the hotel, they had ONE attendant for probably 10 people in line. I knew I my request for the hotel to make good on their promise and come out and pay for the cab would be in vain. In conclusion, DO NOT PARK HERE.
