All shuttles leave on demand - 4:30 AM to 12 Midnight- 7 days per week. The San Jose Mineta International Airport requires all shuttle vans and buses to only either drop-off or pick-up guests at the terminals. This can not be done simultaneously. If guests are dropped off, the shuttle is required to circle the concourse, and then come back and pick-up guests at the courtesy shuttle area. The design of the entrance will not allow the shuttle the convenience to drop-off and pick-up guests within one ride around the terminal. There will be slight delays and this will increase the wait time.

This is my favorite parking lot. They are clean, organized and respectful. UNLIKE other lots in the area.
This is the second time in a row they could not accept credit cards! Pure luck we had enough cash!
Upon return to pick up the car I was told that the credit card machine was not working and that it had not been working for three weeks and that management would not give them a new one. I had to pay $80 cash, which fortunately I had. What would I have done if I did not have it? This needs to be addressed or informed when dropping off the car that only cash is accepted.
We were required to bring $120 cash when we returned. We were told the credit card machine had been down for over 30 days!?
Their credit card reader has been broken for over a month. They need to get it fixed as sometime I arrive back from travelling with little cash on my wallet...
Upon return - credit card machine not working? Had to pay cash
The service was exceptional, the drivers and staff friendly and extremely helpful (I walk with a cane). However, when I arrived back at the Doubletree, I was told that they could only accept cash for the additional amount due. Unfortunately, I had no cash. I was exhausted and upset as my flight had been delayed and stressful, arriving over an hour late. I was directed to go into the lobby where I could get cash from an ATM, given directions that weren't clear. I was wandering around the lobby, probably looking upset, when a Doubletree employee walking by asked if I needed assistant. I explained the situation to her, and she took me back outside and told the valet parking attendant to forego the charge, and she signed off on it. I wish I had gotten her name, as she was a lifesaver to this weary business traveler.
When I went to pay the parking fee upon my arrival back from my trip, there was no credit card terminal working at the attendants station. I was directed into the hotel lobby to the bank kiosk...the fee was $3.50 to withdraw, and another $2.50 charge from my bank... When I went back to the attendant he was courteous and deducted the charge.
It was an inconvenience to have to use cash only; often after trips, one comes back with only a small amount of cash. It would have been much better had a credit or debit card been available.
I cannot really comment on the condition of the parking lot at Double Tree since I did not see it. Was thrilled about the valet parking. By the time I handed my keys at drop off the shuttle arrived. By the time I walked from the gate to the street on return, again the shuttle was waiting!!! Just haven't experienced such efficiency before. AWESOME service!
Parking service desk did not have credit card services at night to handle parking fees. Had to use ATM to get cash for parking fees.
Doubletree needs to get its credit card reader fixed immediately. I did not expect to have to come up with nearly $170 in cash with no notice upon a late night arrival.
Left car on Sunday. Sign said "Credit Card Machine Not Working". Was told it will be fixed before I return. Returned on Friday. Still down. Demanded that I pay cash. I happened to have the cash but was seriously annoyed at their attitude. Should have offered to Bill Me. Or manually do the credit card. Not tell me where to find an ATM.
DoubleTree parking is the best!
This is one of the best and convenient parking services to SJC airport!
When are you going to fix the credit card scanner? It's a nuisance to have to carry cash!
Credit card machine was not working at 11:15pm Saturday night, so had to pay balance of $165 in cash. Not a big deal, but you expect that simple things like that will be working.
Very helpful and quick Car was waiting at valet when I arrived at hotel
I've parked here several times and have had decent service. However, this last time was horrible, and I will never park here again. Our flight arrived late (11:30 pm), so I was anxious to get my family home to bed ASAP after being gone for 8 days. I left my husband at the terminal with our 4 year old, who was asleep on a bench at baggage claim. So, my 7 year old and I took the shuttle to pick up my car. First, the shuttle driver almost didn't let us on because he didn't have my ticket number (even though I had called in). When we got to Doubletree, there was a sign saying their credit card machines were down, so it was cash only. Really? I asked if they would take a check, and they refused, even though I'm local. So, since I didn't have $80+ cash on me, I had to go into the hotel, use the ATM (pay their fees, and fees from my bank) in order to pay to get my car out. Oh, and to top it off, they couldn't find my keys, and asked if I was sure I parked there and if that was really my ticket. You've got to be kidding me! He did give me a $10 discount, after considerable pushing on my end. Gee thanks - that might cover the transaction fees for using the ATM at the hotel. What a joke! Think twice before parking here. There's got to be better places than Doubletree.
You credit card machine has been down for at least two weeks. If you are moving to a cash only business, then post that on your website. Business travelers use plastic rather than cash.
