Payment was very difficult. There was no parking lot attendant. Had to pay at hotel, but registration clerk did not understand how the parking worked. Paid hotel for balance due but could not get out of garage. Had to go back into hotel to get exit ticket. (Doubletree Hotel Lot Washington DC (DCA airport)

The last time I was here I was given the run around on where to pay (front desk, down stairs...etc...) Whole process took 45 minutes. Also waited for an hour for the shuttle (despite 30 minute times).

When the shuttle is picking up from the airport, especially during the winter months, instead of driving straight pass if no one is standing at the shuttle stop, they can stop for even 30 seconds and see if someone is waiting inside. I was waiting already for about 15 mins, but because of the cold, I was waiting inside of the double doors. I tried to rush out, but the driver did not even pause for a sec but instead just kept driving pass because I was not standing at the shuttle stop. I then had to wait for an additional 30 minutes which was very frustrating.

Little taken off by needing cash when I returned. Planned to use my card and had to scramble for cash at last minute. Was inconvieninet.

Parking at the Doubletree is great. Easy to get to...secure facility, pay at the Valet desk, shuttles evey half hour from DCA.

Departing the lot was difficult because I had to make two trips to the hotel service desk and then when I finally got my exit card, it did not work. Eventually, the valet did help me out, but I the whole process took over 30 minutes.

I willl use this serice again as the opportunity presents. We were entirely satisfied with the way things were done and the location itself. Timing was great - we did not wait more than 10 minutes at the airport for the shuttle to come. Attendant at the hotel is great - very helpful.

The shuttle should run for 24 hours or at least begin earlier than 5am. 4am would be a more appropriate starting time. Also ending at 1am would be more accommodating for times when the flights run late or are delayed.

The overall rating would have been excellent except upon our return at 11:00 PM the valet station was closed and could not complete my transaction. Although he was very helpful in assisting with the check out at the front desk, my departure was delayed as the front desk staff was busy checking in aircrew.

Israel is a fantastic employee - he greeted us with a smile and bottle of water and continued to be gracious and helpful even after we apologized that we had no cash to tip him with. He deserves commendation - we were blessed to be under his care.

Shuttle service was slow, even by published standards. Waited 40+ minutes for shuttle. Wouldn't use that hotel again because of that, but might use the reservation service again.

Getting out of the gate at the Double Tree is bad because you are not given a ticket that allows you to exit. An attendant has to let you out and when they are busy you are delayed.

Getting out of the parking lot is a hassle as there are no attendants to deal with - the system is automated and requires a reciept from the front desk AND then a valet had to come down to personally open the gate for me. It took me over 30 minutes, a tight 180 degree turnaround at the exit gate and a return to the front desk to stand in line to get a reciept before I could even start to get out of their lot. I probably won't be using this hotel again.

Return shuttle attendent was not very couretous at all. Looking at me and my co-traveler as if we were about to steal our own luggage. No tip!!

the only problem was at 12:30am it was hard to get out of the parking garage...I had to call to have someone let me out. besides that awesome and will recommend

If the shuttle service is available upon request instead of 30 minutes past 10:00 PM that would be nice to have optional service. Otherwise it was a great saving and hassle free experience.

Arrived at Double Tree at 4:30 am hoping to be the first to be on the shuttle at the 5 am departure to DCA. Driver allowed hotel guests and crew members on board first (even though they came AFTER us AND the entire back row of the shuttle was empty when they departed). He said that he couldn't fit our carry on luggage in the back compartment; however, we had room to carry them in the "cabin area" with us as the entire back row was empty. We came VERY close to missing our 6:45 am flight because he didn't allow us on the shuttle. VERY STRESSFUL!!!

Return flight shortly after midnight so we missed the "last" shuttle. Waited in line for cab. Upon arrival at hotel garage, we saw the flight crew getting off of the shuttle. Why wouldn't we be able to ride with them? (as we had on our departure during normal shuttle hours)

The attendant that checked us back in when we returned on 5/27/11 around 3:00 PM was excellent. He was there to great us, took care of the paperwork, and was right there with our receipt when we went to pull out. I didn't catch his name, but he was a young white man with reddish hair. He should be given the feedback. Thank you for your professional service. I would have rated the experience "excellent" if I was just dealing with the return portion. The gentlemen that was there for the check-in was very difficult to understand and he wasn't very helpful.

Dropping off the car was smooth but coming back took a long time. We waited for a long time for the one shuttle the hotel had and then there was only 1 man working the desk to pick up the car. They were nice but the process was very slow.

A member of our party called parking when we arrived at the airport. It still took longer than anticipated for our shuttle to arrive, but I think that's just the nature of how long a round trip takes. Lots of flight crew had to be loaded as well. Overall a good experience. Helpful if we could pay for parking without having to go into the hotel lobby. That takes more time than I like after a long trip. Thanks.

Shuttle hours are not acceptible.Our flight got in past midnight and we were forced to take a cab. The valet was never around and had to be called twice on both the drop-off and pick-up to come for our car. Not pleased with the hotel.

My only complaint, which I planned to register even without this survey, is that the car, which was supposed to be parked in an indoor lot, was covered with sticky dust. This was a disappointment.

There were a lot of airline staff waiting for the shuttle when we returned to get our car. The shuttle was full so we had to wait for the next shuttle. The end result is it took 45 minutes to an hour from the time we arrived at the curbside pickup until we left the hotel with our car. This is a bit excessive.

We weren't able to pick up our care until a day later than we had scheduled. I called Doubletree to let them know and they were able to accommodate our schedule change with no problems.

I chose this one for inside valet parking due to the pending weather conditions expected while I was gone for 11 days. My clean car when I left looked like it had been driven on the treated highways and was covered with salt, etc. when I returned. The attendent told me it was just parked outside! He also argued about giving me a ticket to take to the counter, when he had kept it himself. I will never go to a Double Tree again even if I have to park in the economy lot at the airport. Which by the way had three busses pass me while waiting for over thirty minutes for the Double Tree shuttle to come even after I called and was told they were almost there. No thanks for using them again!!
Arrival Info:
Pull up to the main entrance and take ticket from paystation. Park in the garage. Shuttle runs every half hour 5:00 AM - midnight and every 15 minutes 5:30 AM - 10:00 AM & 4:30 PM - 10:00 PM. Upon your return, please check-in with the valet to pay the balance due. You will receive a ticket that zeros out the charges left in the automatic paystation.
Airport Transportation:
Transportation provided to and from your departure terminal. Every half hour 5:00 AM - midnight. Every 15 minutes 5:30 AM - 10:00 AM & 4:30 PM - 10:00 PM.
Operation Hours:
Open 5:00 AM to midnight.

A great alternative to DCA parking lots. Doubletree Hotel DCA Crystal City offers shuttle transportation to the customers departure terminal every 15-30 minutes (depending on time of day) to Washington Regan Airport. Pick up is from right outside the baggage claim. Easy and convenient Reagan Airport parking alternative.
