Easy location to find; however, even the shuttle was full already, the driver was still talking to the staffs.. keep telling me that we are okay with the schedule, he will get us there on time... In fact, we were late for 10 mins to get on the flight.. not happy ~
When you turn into the driveway from lincoln/South, make a left after the lane sticks (20 ft), NOT into the parking garage. Texted phone number on parking ticket when we made it to baggage claim. Provided the ticket #, which terminal, and how many in out party. We waited 30 minutes after we made it to the Hotel Courtesy Shuttle island. Car was waiting when we reached the hotel.
Great location and in the end the service ended up being fairly quick on the way to the airport...not so quick on the way back. When we dropped off our car, we were told by Custom Hotel staff we'd have to wait for a half hour for shuttle. When we booked the third party site had said shuttles run every few minutes. The CH staff told us they had been trying to change that and ultimately put the blame on us for not allowing adequate time before our flight. We of course had plenty of time before our flight but hadn't ever experienced an airport parking service that required a half hour wait at the facility before the shuttle would take you. The shuttle actually came very quickly so it ended up not being an issue, but we didn't feel great that the staff were trying to convince us the first (and last) time we're using their service that we had made a mistake. Such a simple service...when you purchase a service you want to feel that the company is grateful to you that you are spending money with them...not like a child being punished.
I followed the instructions to call the lot when we got to the arrivals curb. It took about 20 phone call tries before someone picked up the phone. He said they would be there in 40 minutes. Waited one hour and 40 minutes for pickup. Started calling repeatedly after 1 hour and got nothing but lies about when we would be picked up. Found out they have only one van (14 passengers max) which services both the parking and the hotel. Complete circuit between hotel, departures, arrivals and back to hotel is 40-50 minutes. It took them two full circuits to pick us up because the van was full on the first circuit, and they just drove right by! Because they have only one van and such small capacity, you are likely to wait nearly two hours - especially if you are at terminal 7 which is the last stop. I counted 28 Parking Spot vans, 13 Joe's Parking vans, 9 105Parking vans and many others in the time we waited for the Custom Hotel van. NEVER AGAIN!!! This is a poorly run service. Use only if you have hours to spare and enjoy choking on bus fumes at LAX.
Fast and convenient on the drop off to LAX. Way too long of a wait to get back to the parking lot on the return. We landed, no baggage check and by the time we got to our car it was 1 HOUR. I would recommend taking an Uber when you land if you hate to wait.
Terrible! I parked at the Custom Hotel, flying out of LAX. I got to the hotel at 6:30 AM for my 8:45 flight. I arrived at the terminal at 7:43, 2 minutes before the cutoff for baggage. I was a nervous wreck as I was going to a wedding and had essential garmets in a large suitcase to check. On my return, it was nearly an hour before they finally picked me up, at 6:30 PM, and I still had a 4 hour drive to get home. This is unacceptable, and not what the reviews on your site indicated I should expect!!
This was my second time using Custom Hotel. First time was great. Yesterday (Friday @ 2.37pm) I waited under the red sign for 47 minutes for pick up. The driver then did another loop of the airport. Total time from calling for pick up to arriving at hotel: 1 hour 10 minutes! WILL NOT BE USING AGAIN!
Used valet parking at Custom Hotel; arrival went smoothly; shuttle to LAX was fine; on pickup, first called hotel at 10:40 PM and was not given clear instructions where to meet; after more phone calls to hotel was told to wait in red pick up zone; finally arrived back at hotel at 12:08 AM. Driver never said a word; they did have our car waiting at hotel entrance which was nice. Attendants at hotel parking were pleasant and efficient.
Our wait after a long flight, was over an hour after I had contacted Custom Hotel for a shuttle. Made 4 different telephone calls to your service without even an apology concerning the horrible wait time. Ticket # 8837
If you advertise a Mercedes shuttle van, it needs to be kept clean like a Mercedes should be clean. Exterior was dirty and interior smelled. Staff was excellent and courteous.
not only was this driver slamming on his break every 2 seconds to cut off dozens of cars, but he stopped at every single terminal, even when every seat in the van was full, there were 3 people standing, grabbing onto the seat in front of them. all of our luggage was piled on top of each others in the trunk. when you get in from a 5 hour flight at almost midnight, a packed van and a choppy ride almost made me carsick.
Staff was friendly and helpful, van was clean and smelled nice and our car was waiting up front when we arrived. It was nice having someone load and unload our luggage for us since we had a lot of stuff with us. The only issue was it took 45 min to get picked up and we had a 3 yr old running around uncontrollably, but it was the Monday after Thanksgiving so traffic played a factor and it wasn't the driver's fault. A suggestion would be for the hotel to plan ahead for busy holiday times and rent a 2nd van and hire a 2nd driver to help lessen the pick up times. Other than that I would still park there again.
We parked at Custom Hotels parking and their shuttle service is the worst we have ever experienced. Waited 1 hr and 45 minutes for shuttle. First call 8:25 pm, shuttle arrived at 8:55 PM with no room. Returned at 10:10 PM. others were left behind. I called a total of 15 times and they answered the phone twice, Driver was pleading with his dispatch to send a second shuttle. Never again with Custom Hotels
The drop off part was great! Everyone was courteous and helpful and we were at the airport in no time. The pick up however was not the same experience. We called to ask for pick up and they didn't tell use to be under the shuttle sign so when the driver called he said he would have to drive around again and to meet him there. When I called to tell him we were at the sign he said he had already left and we needed to call the office again. I called the office and let them know what happened and they said they would send a car right away. We waited for 20 minutes and the original shuttle driver showed up. He didn't say hi or greet anyone he just walked to the back and opened the doors to load the luggage. He never spoke to anyone when he got in the van or started driving. When we got back he got out of the car, got out the luggage and didn't say a thing or even smile. We got our luggage and keys -the attendant at the hotel did apologize for the delay. Do to the lack of communication there was an issue with the other passengers as well. Overall it wasn't a horrible experience but communication, customer service and a friendly attitude can go a long way. I would come back one more time because things happen and there was an apology so hopefully things are improved.
On our way to the airport we had a group of 8 people. After we all loaded into the shuttle the attendants allowed 4 additional people to get into the shuttle and sit on the floor or stand without seat belts. The driver complained about another customer as we passed him then complained that there was no gas in th shuttle, his boss etc. It did not seem like he enjoyed his job and he wasn't afraid to let us know about it. When we returned from our trip and called the number to arrange a shuttle the pick up the number kept going to voicemail. I called the hotel to finally get through to valet. When I called I was told it would be a 45 minute wait. When I told the people in my party they opted to get an uber instead. When I called back to cancel the pick another associate said the shuttle was already on the way and would be right there. At this point we would have been charged for the uber if we cancelled it so we opted to take the uber instead. When we arrived to the hotel we proceeded to the valet window with our claim ticket, she informed me I needed to wait for a valet attendant to help me. We waited for about 5 minutes with no one helping us. She noticed and came out and gave us our keys. Overall I was very disappointed with this parking service, especially since I had to spend an additional $25 for an uber for a 4 mile trip. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for parking. The prices were cheap but you get what you pay for.
I thought I read it was covered parking. But when i picked up my car with water spots all over it I found out it wasn't. Don't think it's worth the hassle to park in and uncovered lot.
Staff very friendly, and helpful. Would sure use Custom Hotel parking again. We liked their service very much. Will share with friend.
It is very apparent the Custom Hotel no longer wishes to serve those who are not booked to stay at the Custom Hotel. Over the past 2 years of booking parking at this location, it's also obvious noticeable changes have been made, administratively. The service is below standard now. Getting picked up, TIMELY, from LAX is nearly impossible! We waited over 45 minutes for pickup on Friday night. While the driver was awesome, the representative at Custom Hotel parking was everything but... While incredibly convenient with regards to location from the airport, we have no plans to use this facility in the future. There are too many great lots (I've parked at several) who circle the airport 4X's to the Custom....
The shuttle NEVER came to pick us up! We called them as instructed, waited an hour at LAX, eventually got a cab back to the lot and the shuttle was sitting there and our car was still never pulled out.
