Lot is well lit and clean. Not the easiest to find as we had to drive around the block once. It shares a parking lit with Hilton which is fine.....but it was confusing as we came in where to park. Attendant was very helpful though. Great price is tou reserve online, close to airport, amd shuttle every 20 mins
Do NOT pay attention to the 4 star rating on their website. Ever since Park Air Express was taken over by Spectrum, it has been a disaster. I have given them three chances- all times weren't great, but the latest takes the cake. I arrived back at LAX and called them to get picked up. The phone literally rang for 45 minutes and no one picked up. Finally, I got on the Hilton shuttle, which is right next door to Spectrum. I was actually panicking, thinking that they had gone out of business while I was out of town and wouldn't have any way to get my car. I walked over from the Hilton and discovered that their electricity was out. They told me that their phones don't work when the electricity is out. Really? They don't have back-up phones? I asked why they didn't send out shuttles to look for people at the stops- they told me the shuttles were circulating. NO, they weren't- while I was listening to their phone ring for 45 minutes I was actively looking for their shuttle to flag down. When I objected to the price for very poor service, they offered to reimburse me for the 45 minutes I waited, which would amount to less than $1.00. Clearly I will not ever use this shuttle service again.
Been coming here for about 2 years. It was the best place to park your car. Let me clarify. The parking is still the best. The shuttle service went straight to hell. Before, there was a shuttle waiting for you. You were at your terminal in minutes. This past Sunday 11/13/16, I waited 27 minutes for a shuttle to show up, even though there is a sign that says it may take 20...sad state of affairs. Sounds like cutting corners.
I caught the Hilton Shuttle after waiting 30 minutes. Second, my car was supposed to be washed and was not. Last, the service is poor with the attendant not offering to load luggage in car similar to Parking Spot. There is a large gap in service between Spectrum and Parking Spot and reason you are losing Customers. Improved management can quickly turn around the decline.
The underground parking is a maze- More signage is required, but everyone's verbal directions were great. Overall a normal experience. Thanks
Very difficult to park and to receive assistance when we returned called the number on Email I was told they no longer had service the after that all calls went to a recording had to pay for a taxi to take us to our car difficult to find cashier Nd very poor instructions many customers backed up and complaining
This is more on me, than the Parking company. I did not ask before leaving, where I should catch the shuttle to return to the garage. However a few phone calls, and very kind staff I was directed to wait under the "Hotel Pick Up" sign. Perhaps for future customers, hand them instructions on where to catch the return shuttle, as they get on the bus to their airport gate.
Because the shuttle was late I missed my first flight
Shuttle time wait was 45 minutes which is not acceptable.
Shuttle times are terrible, waited one hour and finally took a Hilton coach.
The parking lot was good and it was very nice to have the car parked indoors on a long term basis. The parking lot attendants were all very nice and personable. Too bad the 50 minute wait at LAX for the shuttle to pick us up left such a bad taste in our mouths. We had always used Spectrum parking before and had 100% positive experiences. Apparently while we were on our vacation, the management changed to a different shuttle service. We will not use Spectrum anymore.
Some of your employees need to attend "Customer Service 101" During pick-up I was asked to show my reservations in a tone that suggested that I was lying to the cashier. This idea is preposterous. Your parking lot computer should have the transaction history on its computer. It should clearly show what, if any, amount had already been paid and what was owed upon checking out. Asking is one thing but it has to be done in a manner that does not indicate that the customer is trying to cheat the parking lot. And that is the way that I was treated.
That experience. Very convenient.
We had trouble with the phone numbers required for pick up at the Red Courtesy Stop.
terrible - 45 minute wait coming and going
We traveled in Wednesday September 28 and were already running a little late. Then we just missed the shuttle when we arrived at the pickup point. The next shuttle took almost 1 hour due to the driver stopping for lunch. Because of this we missed our flight to Newark and had to get the next flight which was to JFK instead. On our return, we waited almost an hour once again to catch the shuttle from LAX to the car park. This could have been because we were looking for the wrong shuttle as you had changed to a different shuttle service since the start of our journey (which I found out after phoning you and then the shuttle service) so we may have missed it. Your pricing is very competitive and you have under cover parking so we would probably use your service again but would contemplate using Uber to get to and from the airport if the shuttle doesn't come within 10 to 15 minutes.
We have used this particular location (before it became Airport Spectrum - formerly known as Park Air Express) and the service has been going down instead of up. The wait time going was a bit long (because they now service the Crowne Point Plaza hotel as well) and coming back was about a 20 minute wait. Other transport buses, in the meantime, whizzed by 3 to 4 times before our bus finally arrived. Because they have to pick up at two locations, it was overcrowded (coming and going). Why not hire additional drivers (or get additional buses like the other companies)? The attendants were not helpful and did not bother to get our luggage or anything else - so we kept our tip money. When we called (for the second time) inquiring where the bus was on our return, the lady who answered had an attitude and was not helpful at all and didn't apologize. There was one gentleman who was at least pleasant (when we called the first time and upon arriving at the location to pick up our car). Also, even though we had valet parked (under Park Air, they at least had the car waiting once we got to the garage - but not with Airport Spectrum). We were truly dissatisfied with the wait time and nonchalant attitude of the employees, so we will more than likely go to the Parking Spot or one of the other parking garages after this. The wait time is horribly long and traveling is already stressful, without having to worry whether or not you are going to make your flight or not because of the long wait).
The service was ok as the driver did not have enough room to allow everyone to ride to the lot. Another driver from another company drove me to the lot but still took overall an hour waiting time. Will go with another company next time
If you have never used this or a similar parking service at a hotel in downtown it can be weird at first. You park several floors below ground level. When you return the shuttle drops you off where it picked you up. I took pics of the markings on the walls and columns representing my floor and section. It made finding my car a little easier. So I used this lot before when it was run by another company. I do not recall the cost of the first use so I cannot compare any savings. ... I paid my deposit online as requested to secure my prepaid price. I printed the ticket which you need to give to the hotel parking lot cashier when you return to pick up your car and to obtain your online price. I guess if you do not have your printed ticket you will pay the posted hotel rate. Yeah, I DO NOT think showing your ticket or receipt on your phone is acceptable for the online price. After payment is made the cashier hands you a ticket which you must insert into a slot at an exit so you may leave. When you get to ground level try and get your bearings as I believe there is more than one exit. Well be safe and travel happy.
I have used this parking lot for years under a different management company. The previous management employed courteous parking lot attendants and shuttle drivers and provided very efficient shuttle service. The new management company seems to employ a single shuttle van and driver. The wait was over a half hour to get to the airport and I waited so long for the shuttle to return from the airport that I took another company's courtesy shuttle.
