The parking lot was good and it was very nice to have the car parked indoors on a long term basis. The parking lot attendants were all very nice and personable. Too bad the 50 minute wait at LAX for the shuttle to pick us up left such a bad taste in our mouths. We had always used Spectrum parking before and had 100% positive experiences. Apparently while we were on our vacation, the management changed to a different shuttle service. We will not use Spectrum anymore.
Some of your employees need to attend "Customer Service 101" During pick-up I was asked to show my reservations in a tone that suggested that I was lying to the cashier. This idea is preposterous. Your parking lot computer should have the transaction history on its computer. It should clearly show what, if any, amount had already been paid and what was owed upon checking out. Asking is one thing but it has to be done in a manner that does not indicate that the customer is trying to cheat the parking lot. And that is the way that I was treated.
That experience. Very convenient.
We had trouble with the phone numbers required for pick up at the Red Courtesy Stop.
terrible - 45 minute wait coming and going
We traveled in Wednesday September 28 and were already running a little late. Then we just missed the shuttle when we arrived at the pickup point. The next shuttle took almost 1 hour due to the driver stopping for lunch. Because of this we missed our flight to Newark and had to get the next flight which was to JFK instead. On our return, we waited almost an hour once again to catch the shuttle from LAX to the car park. This could have been because we were looking for the wrong shuttle as you had changed to a different shuttle service since the start of our journey (which I found out after phoning you and then the shuttle service) so we may have missed it. Your pricing is very competitive and you have under cover parking so we would probably use your service again but would contemplate using Uber to get to and from the airport if the shuttle doesn't come within 10 to 15 minutes.
We have used this particular location (before it became Airport Spectrum - formerly known as Park Air Express) and the service has been going down instead of up. The wait time going was a bit long (because they now service the Crowne Point Plaza hotel as well) and coming back was about a 20 minute wait. Other transport buses, in the meantime, whizzed by 3 to 4 times before our bus finally arrived. Because they have to pick up at two locations, it was overcrowded (coming and going). Why not hire additional drivers (or get additional buses like the other companies)? The attendants were not helpful and did not bother to get our luggage or anything else - so we kept our tip money. When we called (for the second time) inquiring where the bus was on our return, the lady who answered had an attitude and was not helpful at all and didn't apologize. There was one gentleman who was at least pleasant (when we called the first time and upon arriving at the location to pick up our car). Also, even though we had valet parked (under Park Air, they at least had the car waiting once we got to the garage - but not with Airport Spectrum). We were truly dissatisfied with the wait time and nonchalant attitude of the employees, so we will more than likely go to the Parking Spot or one of the other parking garages after this. The wait time is horribly long and traveling is already stressful, without having to worry whether or not you are going to make your flight or not because of the long wait).
The service was ok as the driver did not have enough room to allow everyone to ride to the lot. Another driver from another company drove me to the lot but still took overall an hour waiting time. Will go with another company next time
If you have never used this or a similar parking service at a hotel in downtown it can be weird at first. You park several floors below ground level. When you return the shuttle drops you off where it picked you up. I took pics of the markings on the walls and columns representing my floor and section. It made finding my car a little easier. So I used this lot before when it was run by another company. I do not recall the cost of the first use so I cannot compare any savings. ... I paid my deposit online as requested to secure my prepaid price. I printed the ticket which you need to give to the hotel parking lot cashier when you return to pick up your car and to obtain your online price. I guess if you do not have your printed ticket you will pay the posted hotel rate. Yeah, I DO NOT think showing your ticket or receipt on your phone is acceptable for the online price. After payment is made the cashier hands you a ticket which you must insert into a slot at an exit so you may leave. When you get to ground level try and get your bearings as I believe there is more than one exit. Well be safe and travel happy.
I have used this parking lot for years under a different management company. The previous management employed courteous parking lot attendants and shuttle drivers and provided very efficient shuttle service. The new management company seems to employ a single shuttle van and driver. The wait was over a half hour to get to the airport and I waited so long for the shuttle to return from the airport that I took another company's courtesy shuttle.
Your company has the best staff!! Very friendly! I park in valet and when I call to let them know that I am on the shuttle, they ask for my ticket number and when I get there my car is parked and waiting for me. Excellent service in valet!! However, the shuttle service is extremely lacking. The drivers are very friendly and courteous but the wait at the airport at arrivals is over 30 mins. Not good at all!! That needs to change or I will have to change to another parking service.
It took the shuttel over 30 minutes to arrive
I spent one hour waiting for the pick up at terminal LAX, I called 6 times, only 3 calls were answered. One lady answered my phone and told me that there was no pick up at that time (it was around 10:45AM), she wanted me to catch the airport shutter by myself.
I waited over 30 minutes (some others were there over 40 mins) for the shuttle to bring me to the airport. Good thing I gave myself enough time and wasn't in a rush for my flight. When first pulling into the garage it is quite confusing as to where Spectrum Parking spaces are - because its a shared garage with a private building you could only park on certain levels. I had to go 3 levels underground to finally be allowed to park. Because I had such a painfully long wait time coming in I paid $8 for an uber to the garage when I landed back home because the last thing you want to do when you land is sit and wait around for a shuttle that may never come. So I guess Spectrum owes me $8 for my inconvenience that the service they provide is inadequate. I will not be parking here ever again.
Other than finding the place for the first time - everything else was excellent!!! friendly staff, drivers and very little wait time.
I arrived at 5:30 am for valet parking. Valet was professional, informative and friendly. Shuttle driver was friendly and ride to airport was prompt. After I returned to LAX, I followed instructions for shuttle. I called the phone number. Person answering seemed knowledgeable. But I waited for the black van shuttle with Airport Spectrum printed on the side like the one I rode to the airport inside. It never showed up. I called again and was told it had passed my location. I was carefully watching for it, but never saw it. I saw all other shuttles stop (Wally Park, Parking Spot, etc.) and wait curbside for a few minutes before moving on, even if nobody got in them. The black Spectrum van never did that. I took a taxi to the Spectrum parking structure. My car was ready and payment staff was efficient, so leaving was very simple.
The parking lot was pretty full and consisted mainly of tandem bays so you needed help from the attendant who wasn't easy to find. On our return to LAX we waited 51 minutes for a shuttle. This was longer than our flight from Las Vegas. The phone staff were liars. They kept telling me that a shuttle would be with us 'momentarily' when it clearly had never been dispatched. If there is ever a company that needs to go out of business it is Spectrum.
Online feedback to my inquiry wasn't 100% but okay - I had to assume a minute over 24 hours counts as an addt'l day, and apparently does. Overall less expensive than another service I shopped. Pickup location wasn't clear - other than others/TSA standing there. Pleasant Italian chauffeur! Will use Airport Spectrum again.
Had to locate an attendant to move a car parked directly behind mine. Staff very helpful and kind to my wife who has a walking disability
Overall didn't have any major issues however this lot is advertised as indoor valet so I purchased valet and my car was so obviously not kept indoor during my trip which is false advertising. Also the staff barely say so much as a Hello or acknowledgement and forget about them helping you with your luggage. Since my car returned safe and without any damage albeit dirty I would give this place a fair rating, however when you pay for indoor valet that's what you should get. Also the shuttles do not run regularly they are on demand so you do have to wait a bit for the shuttle, I find the hotel shuttles much more efficient. I would probably go the hotel route next time.
