Australia and the US: Soon More Travelers Both Ways

The thing that many Americans love about visiting Australia is that it’s so much like the US. Indeed, unlike merry Old England, the Aussies are a much more similar breed.  A new Open Skies agreement signed by the two countries will increase the amount of back and forth tourism, which is good for Aussies and Americans.

I spent a week last year in Melbourne, where the most important thing on people’s minds is which Footie team they support. The rule have been liberalised so that airlines can more readily increase airline services  and offer increased seat capacity.

Forecasters are figuring that the increased amount of travelers will generate some $400 million in annual tourism export earnings from the US between 2007-2009.   In case you are one of these Americans and you plan to fly to Australia soon, here is where you can find airport parking in any major US City.
