Gift Ideas for Your Valentine

Gifts for Your Valentine

Chocolates, roses, perfume, jewelry, and lingerie, those are the go-to Valentine gifts, but if you want to stray from the cliche this February? How about trying a gift that’s a little more personal?  Below are six ideas for a more personal Valentine’s Day gift.  Perhaps one will be perfect for the one you love.

REMEMBER YOUR HISTORY
Create a photo book for your significant other.  You can make a themed book like “Our Firsts” or “Our Trip to Paris”, or just make one that spans your entire relationship.  If you’re crafty, buy supplies at a local scrapbook store or a craft store like Michael’s or Jo-Ann Fabrics.  If you’re more computer savvy, create one on a photo printing website like Snapfish or Shutterfly.

REIGNITE THE SPARK
If you want to give a gift that you both can enjoy, why not order a painting kit from Love Is Art?  The kit provides everything that a couple needs to safely make a tangible piece of abstract expressionistic art while being intimate with each other.  There are multiple kits to choose from and they range from $60 to $110.  When you’re finished, you have a piece of art to hang in your home that represents your relationship.

A MASCULINE GIFT WITH A PERSONAL TOUCH
It’s always hard to find a great gift for a man that doesn’t break the bank.  For Valentine’s Day, why not get him something personal to protect that techno-gadget you bought him for Christmas? Joe V. Leather Designs found on Etsy has leather cases for any device as well as wallets and leather bracelets.  Even better, they’re all customizable.

SOMETHING PRETTY FOR HER
Chain jewelry stores always get a lot of business in February, but that doesn’t mean you can’t buy your lady jewelry and still be unique.  Jewelry by Jakemi also found on Etsy is a great place to find something she’ll love.  Pick a quote that reminds you of her, or a quote about love and customize the Famous Love Quote Necklace.   She’ll think about you every time she wears it, and you’ll still have money leftover to buy her a bouquet.

EXPAND THEIR HORIZONS
Everybody is interested in something.  Pay attention to your significant other.  Perhaps she’s mentioned that she’d like to learn to knit, or he’s mentioned that he’s like learn to play guitar.  Is he glued to the Food Network, or is she constantly repeating the six words she knows in French?  Buy your loved one a set of classes or lessons in what interests them.  The Internet search engine is a trusty tool, and should be able to help you find and research classes in your area.

I have been trying to look for something other than chocolate or roses for this V-day. I think the photobook would be a good alternative.

I think a getaway would be best for my girlfriend. Maybe weekend at a cabin!
