LAX Breaks Ground With Scale Of New Expansion

LAX Airport is to benefit from a $1.45 billion investment in its Tom Bradley International Terminal. The ‘mega terminal’ will serve about 4000 passengers an hour (currently 2800) and the size of the terminal itself will be doubled to accommodate extra passenger numbers, increased retail and dining areas and the addition of 9 new gates which will serve the new and massive Boeing 787 and the worlds largest passenger plane, the Airbus A380.

The news of the LAX expansion quickly follows on the heels of the re-opening of San Francisco International Airport’s completed re-development of its impressive, futuristic and environmentally award winning terminal 2.
